God only nows, what caused this change: The new installation "touched" my Steam account and fixed it? Or maybe some auto-diagnostic at Steam servers detected the corruption and fixed it? This was new! So I launched C:S - and the mod is there! This time Steam reported it downloaded a few kb of data. So, I tentatively subscribed to the "81 Tiles (Fixed for C:S 1.2+) " mod and launched Steam. (I hadn't even realised, that those were supposed to be listed there as well.) That will list all workshop mods for that game that you're subscribed to, alongside unsubscribe buttons. There were no more the two mods only, that I had left subscribed since I tested this problem last time - instead there were all the assets I had subscribed to long time ago. Go to that game's workshop, your files, subscribed files. So I made this small script to do it for me: Go to subscribed items for CS in Steam community on Google chrome or other web browser with scripting console. Having installed C:S on the other PC, I logged in the Workshop - only to find that the view of my subscribed items had changed 100%. I wanted to start a new game with all new mods but there was no easy way to unsub from all workshop items on Steam. (I don't presume you'd have a similar short-list of items to check on Steam, do you.? )
So it looks like my Steam account is somehow corrupted. The same problem there - no mods, assets only.
